Deer Valley High School Senior Portraits| Class of 2012| Brandon

This is Brandon and he is graduating in May.. which I might add will be here before we know it. He’s my first senior for this school year and it was a nice change :)   It’s amazing how much older kids follow directions and look at the camera without you even telling them too ;)   Don’t get me wrong, I love the little wild kids too!!  His family and I headed out for some Family photos but we also concentrated on him. Here are a few of him from our day:

Goodyear Maternity Photographer| Jessica is having a baby!!

About 3 years ago I met this great family and took their maternity photos.. a few months later I took their baby photos too.. and then it was quiet… until last month when Jessica contacted me to take her photos because she was pregnant again! I always love it when a client says… “I’m not sure if you remember me……” The truth is I remember ALL of my clients! How could I not?  I may not remember names (especially the spouses, lol) but I will at least remember the photos we took.  So back to the story.. when Jessica contacted me I was thrilled to see them again. I love seeing the kids grow, especially if you haven’t seen them in a couple of years.  Their daughter {J} is turning 3 this month, so we also captured some fun shots of her too… she is going to be a great big sister :)   Here are a few favorites from our afternoon together:

It was great catching up with you Jessica and I can’t wait to meet the latest addition in January!

Scottsdale Family Photographer| The {R} Family

This family is one of my favorite families to photograph. They are all over my website :) Sara and I used to work together for many years and I miss seeing her every day… though when I do get to see her I feel like we still work together. Both of the boys are having birthdays this month, so Sara wanted 1 year old, 3 year old and Christmas pictures done… I think we did a pretty good job:

Phoenix Newborn Photographer| Welcome to the World Baby {S}

This is sweet little Savannah and she is beautiful! She had a rough little go at it her first week, but now she is healthy and ready to see the world! She was perfect for us as we photographed her. She slept like a pro, which is a good thing for her parents ;) Here are just a few of the shots we got of her:
Isn’t she beautiful? I swear photographing babies gives me baby fever for about an hour or so and then I come home to my 2 year old and all is forgotten… LOL!

Scottsdale Family Photographer| The {A} Family

Buckeye Family Photographer| The {K} Family

I have known the {K} Family for many years and I always like getting the chance to hang out with them. They live out in Verrado and I’ve always wanted the opportunity to photograph a family out there.. so when they asked if I was interested I jumped at the opportunity! Verrado is such a cool little place… I just wish it wasn’t so far “out” there! We hit the downtown area and even a near by park.. here are a few favorites from our morning:

I have been so crazy busy lately, but it’s been great! Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we headed over to my cousin’s house for the festivities. Lisa got to experience her first USA Thanksgiving and she was stuffed afterwards.. yep, that’s the American way :) Then the best part of the experience is when I took her out for Black Friday shopping.. we started at Walmart, then headed over to Target and ended at Old Navy. We got home about 5:30 am and then headed back out around noon… we are exhausted.. but it was worth it!

Glendale Maternity Photographer| Corrie’s having a baby!

Where in the world….

have I been??? I know.. I have been away for far too long and have completed neglected my poor blog! Well I’m back! I really don’t even know where to begin.. we have had so much going on in the past few months. Just a quick rundown..

1. Ellie started first grade
2. I’m back at work
3. We got a foreign exchange student (more on that later)
4. Ellie broke her arm (not fun!)
5. Jeff and I went to Hawaii for a week (so much fun!!)
6. Reagan turned 2 (terrible doesn’t even describe the tantrums! lol)
7. Ellie plays soccer 2 days a week
8. I’m still a youth coach for High School Girls on Sundays (love them!)
9. I lost 35lbs. :)
phew…..

Crazy right???? I did do a few sessions over the summer and even 2 weddings that I need to post, but overall all things have been low key in the photography world..until now! It’s fall which means lots of photo stuff! In the past week I have done 5 sessions which will all be posted very soon! So keep posted!

So about our exchange student… her name is Lisa and she is from Germany. She is great and she is fitting right in with our little family! It’s amazing how busy a high school girl can be! She is making a lot of great friends and we are learning a ton about Germany!

Phoenix Newborn Photographer| Baby Westyn is 7 days old!

This is baby Westyn and his parents are my very good friends Jeff and Lorry! They have waited very patiently for this little guy and I have to say I’m sure they feel he was definitely worth the wait!!! He is so sweet and really did well for us. I love it when I get my hands on these little guys right away, because they really do cooperate much more! Here are a few photos from our day….

Summer is winding down and I actually have a few more sessions to share with all of you… so keep checking back :)   I go back to work next week and I am honestly not looking forward to it.. probably because I’m not in that mode yet. I love being home with the girls and I’ll miss hanging out with them. Don’t get me wrong I love the people I work with and I know once I’m back it will all be good :)

This is Madeline and she is 4 weeks old.. so sweet and cuddly and happens to be the daughter of my friend Jennifer. Madeline has an older brother who also stopped in for a shot too. Here are a few of my favorites:

Summer is slowly winding down and I have to admit I am so sad… I love having my summers off to spend with my girls. It seems like last year went by sooo fast.. like the blink of an eye and I honestly feel like maybe I missed out on some of it. There year I really want to take it all in and just enjoy it… remember I said that in December ;)
