Today I got to take pictures of Faith. She is beautiful and has the most amazing little eyes. She is only 3 weeks old!  She was wide awake for most of the session, but after a little walk with her mom she fell right to sleep.  What a cooperative baby!! Here are a few from today:

Today Jeff and I went car shopping. I hate it.  Don’t get me wrong, I love new cars, but I hate the whole process of it. I have NO idea what I want next. Too many choices and I have champagne taste on a beer budget. *sigh*

Make a scrapbook – it’s easy!

Our very good friends’ daughter turned 1 yesterday!! On Saturday her family threw her a party and asked me to take some photographs! She looked so sweet and had a wonderful time. The kids all loved the flower cake with the surprise skittles in the middle.  Here are a few photos from the night:

Easter was good too! Ellie fell asleep in church (3rd year in a row!) and then the family all headed over to the park for a picnic. We do it every year and it’s very low key and the kids all have a great time.  I will post some photos later On Saturday we headed over to our friend Abby and Gary’s house for their neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt, Ellie and Anna had a blast! I’ll post pics of that later too! Ok off to get some work done!

Today I had the pleasure of taking Allison’s Senior pictures! She is the sweetest thing and is so photogenic! She definitely made my job easy! We went to Westgate, and found out the hard way that they don’t allow photos taken there. Needless to say, I told them we were family friends and that we were taking some “Senior Photos”. The lady was so nice and gave us the go-ahead. It’s a bummer too, because the place is so fun and has awesome textures and colors to take pictures with. *sigh*  Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the day:

After the shoot, I went and got myself a wonderful facial at the spa. It was heaven and well needed. It was funny though, I was so relaxed that I nodded off and actually caught myself snoring.  How embarrassing!! LOL  I should really take the time to treat myself more often. Actually, Jeff treated me :0)

Tomorrow Ellie and I will be going to a little Easter Egg Hunt.. I’m so excited. I should be able to get lots of fun pics!  Then tomorrow night is Macy’s first birthday, I’m going to be taking pictures at it and can’t wait!! I hope to get lots of fun cake photos!  Ok I’m off to bed, have a great weekend!

When the flu hits… it hits hard. I am finally starting to feel better!! On Thursday I woke up to a horrible rash all over my body, so I went to the doctor and they told me I had double ear infections plus a virus. Nice!  I swear I’ve never been as sick. I could barely get my head off of the pillow on Friday… needless to say blogging went on the back burner for a few days!  But yesterday my fever was gone!! I still have the wonderful rash, but at least I feel better!

So what do you do on a cool windy day in Arizona? You go kite flying!!! We went to Costco and  bought this huge kite and went to the park. At first Ellie wasn’t too sure about it, but in the end she had a great time.  Here are a few pics from the day:

It was actually really fun.  I was busy taking the photos.. but I did try to hold the kite for a bit.. I didn’t do too well.  I really can’t remember the last time I flew a kite.  When was your last time???  I really need to make an effort to do fun mindless things.

Today it was back to work.  It was a little hard to get back into the swing of things, but I’m sure tomorrow with my full caseload it will all be like I was never gone.  *sigh*

What happens when you brag about beating the flu??? You get the flu a week later!  I started feeling crummy on Monday night… just kind of achy all over.. then last night, bam, it hit me. I was sitting on the couch and all of a sudden I had the chills and couldn’t get warm. I checked my temp and it was 101.. then last night in middle of the night it was 102.7.  UGH!  As long as I am loaded up on Ibuprofen I seem to do ok. Just very sore all over and my head feels like someone has a vice on it. I’m hoping this is a quick run, since I really don’t have time to be sick at all!! So keep your fingers crossed!!

The weather is awesome right now her in sunny Arizona!!  It’s seriously in the high 70′s and it’s wonderful.. sorry to rub it in if you are stuck in snow   Yesterday morning I had to work at the clinic and I’ll I could think about was being outside!!  Today.. I got Ellie out in the sun and we played in the “green grass” (she calls it that) again!!

We had a pretty fun weekend. Lots of time with family and friends which is always great! Our friend’s Scott and Marcel came over on Saturday night for Jeff’s wonderful Italian Pot Roast and then we played Spades.  I love that card game. Needless to say the girls were triumphant over the boys again!  While they were here we played with the new camera and lens and took this beautiful pictures of the blooms on our fruit trees in my backyard.. doesn’t it look so pretty???

Then today I got the opportunity to take pictures of little Macy.. she is so cute!! She crinkles her nose when she smiles and it’s adorable!  Here are just 2 from today.

My other obsession besides Flickr would have to be American Idol. I’m not sure what it is about this show, but I LOVE it!!! I actually let Ellie watch it last night and tonight. She would clap and yell “yeah” after each singer. It was really cute! Ok so here is who I like for the girls:

Nothing too exciting going on.. the weather is awesome lately. Today it was 70 and this weekend it’s supposed to be even warmer. I love it when it’s like this!

My little brother turned 33 today.. I guess he’s not so little anymore! Last night we all went to my cousin’s house for dinner and my fabulous cupcakes!! LOL Actually they didn’t turn out too bad! My brother is a great guy and very eligible ladies!! Here are some pictures from last night.. I love the one of the cupcakes!!

Ellie wanted the cupcakes so bad.. all night she kept asking for them and we kept telling her she had to wait until after dinner.. she was beside herself. Eventually she did get her cupcake and all was well in the world.. *sigh* It’s rough being 2.

Would definitely have to be my daughter. I decided that I didn’t have any decent pictures of her recently, so I got her dressed and headed to the nearest patch of green grass.  All she wanted to do was run up and down the hill and wouldn’t even look at me or the camera.  I even tried to just snap pictures while holding the camera away from my eye.. as you can see some are a bit off.  I also played around with lightroom.  I *heart* that program!

She is still a bit pale from being sick.. so I may have to go out and try again next week.  Tonight I’m headed over to my cousin’s house for dinner. We are going to celebrate my brother’s birthday. It should be fun! In honor of it, I actually baked some cupcakes. I don’t remember the last time I baked something. I’m a horrible baker/cook whatever you want to call it. I’m much better at picking up a telephone and calling take out.  Speaking of take out… Jeff and I LOVE Thai food. Well a new Thai restaurant  just opened up around the corner from us last Sunday and guess how many times we have ordered take out from them???  Three!! We are nuts. We ordered it Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and I have to tell you it is Fantastic!!!  It’s called My Thai and it’s now our favorite.. if you didn’t guess by the 3 times! LOL
