Glendale Children Photographer| Haley is 2!!!

This is Haley and she is adorable.. and according to her mother a little sassy also! I guess that’s to be expected when you turn 2!! Little Haley was great to photograph, she loved the jelly beans I gave her, and held onto them for dear life! Her brother was a great little assistant and even popped into a photo too! Here are a few from our afternoon…

On a different note, things have been pretty uneventful! I can’t believe that we are half way through July already! Reagan is sassy as ever and Ellie is enjoying her time off.. she is my little fish and would do anything to get herself in a pool! Thank goodness for great neighbors and friends who have pools!!!

Scottsdale Family Photographer| The {L} Family

Like I have said many times before I love photographing my repeat clients! I love to see how much they have grown and it’s always great just to catch up! Really, it’s so amazing what can happen in just a couple of short years! This is the {L} family, and you might recognize them from my blog. Little Jace is now 2 and I have been capturing him on my camera since he was born!! We headed out to the Scottsdale Civic Center Park in the bright morning light and captured some great shots! That is such a pretty area.. I would love to explore it even more and get into some of the back alleyways too :) Anyway, here are a few shots from our day…

and this next one is so cute….. Jace was doing a little dance for everyone :)

Thank you Sherri and Jeff for letting me capture your family again!

Phoenix Family Photographer|The {L} Family

I love repeat clients.. I love to see how much their children have grown and it makes me realize just how fast time does fly. A lot can happen in a year! This is the {L} Family, and I first met them in 2008. I was more than honored when they set up another session with me. We went to Heritage Square and what a cool place! I loved the textures, the colors.. everything! The best part, is that they thought of the place. Of course we went on the windiest day in Phoenix, but really.. we were protected by the buildings, so it all turned out perfect! Here are a few from the day and I have to tell you all that I had a hard time choosing which photos to share. So here they are.. oh and look at those amazing eyes little Nora has… so sweet!

Phoenix High School Senior Photographer| Hayden & his family

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Hayden and his family. Now keep in mind, when it comes to photographs, most boys/men can think of about 20 other things they would like to do besides sitting to get their picture taken. That’s how it started and by the end of the session, I can honestly say we all had a great time! Heck we even were scolded by the park rangers for having his bike with us (no we didn’t even turn it on!) Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Thanks for a great afternoon!!

On a different note, I feel like I’m in survival mode. The last weeks of school are always the busiest for me. Today is the last day of school and I am so excited! I love summer and can’t wait to get it started!!

Glendale Family Photographer| The {W} Family

I love taking photos in Glendale! First it’s so close to my home, and second there are some great spots! Saguaro Ranch Park (the website doesn’t do it justice) is probably the most popular place to shoot at in Glendale. I love the textures, the backgrounds and just the overall feel of the place. It’s great for families, high school seniors and even babies! And to prove it.. here are some great baby & family shots that I recently took of the {W} family. You may recognize them from past sessions. (**warning! I am not responsible for the baby fever you may feel after seeing these photos!**)

Aubri is getting so big and she is just the cutest little thing! She makes Reagan look like a giant!
On the home front, we are all feeling much better. Not only was I sick, but both Reagan and Ellie had it too. I’m not sure how Jeff missed out on the fun, but he did. It’s a bummer being sick, but at least we got over it quick and just in time for Spring Break! Spring Break was good.. very relaxing and I got a TON of stuff done around the house. My poor house was in serious need of some attention and it finally got it from me. I sorted through the girls clothes, and deep cleaned the entire house. It’s funny how you feel all out of order when your house is a mess. But all is good now!

Phoenix Family Photographer| The {S} Family

I love this family! I have known them for years and they are just the coolest and nicest people you will ever meet. They are from Nebraska, so when we went to take photos, they wanted a desert feel. I can always tell when people aren’t from AZ ;) I forget how beautiful the desert is. We decided to head out to South Mountain.. they have a great abandoned old house and then a great view of the city. I am an Arizona native and I can honestly say that I have never been to the top of South Mountain! Crazy huh… and guess that also goes with the fact that in the whole time I’ve been here, I’ve only seen 1 scorpion. Anyway, here are a few favorites from our day:

These really make me want to get my family photos taken up there as well!

On the other side of the camera

I did it.. I actually got on the other side of the camera and had my maternity photos done by the very talented and cool Shelly Ivy :) We met through a photographers group here in Phoenix and when she offered to take photos of me I jumped at the chance!!! You can see some of her great photographs HERE! Ellie came along with me and unfortunately Jeff had to work, so he’s not in any of the photos. Here are a few from the day:

Didn’t she do a great job?! I love the one of Ellie kissing my belly. I can’t believe my pregnancy is almost over, and for that I am thankful! My c-section is scheduled for Monday and I can’t wait to meet my newest daughter. I know the first few weeks are rough, but at least when you do get to sleep you are comfortable.. right?? I will keep you all posted and in case you try to get a hold of me, I probably won’t be checking emails for at least a week.

Phoenix Family Photographer| The {I} Family

This past weekend I had the honor of taking photos of the {I} family. I met them through my friend Julie and I have to say they were the sweetest and cutest family to work with. They seriously made my job so easy. The photos are beautiful and I have no idea how they will choose which ones they like! I’m also a little partial to their youngest because her name is Reagan :) Andrea (the mother) actually recommended the place we took photos at and I couldn’t have been more happy with the location. Here are a few favorites from the day:

The kids found this great bird’s nest.. they even put it back up in a tree :)

See.. I told you they were an adorable family :)

As for me.. I’ve been busy as usual. Work started back up and we set a date for my c-section. It’s hard to believe that my baby will be here in 4 weeks. I’m ready physically and mentally, but that’s it. The room is still not done and I have a bazillion things to do before she arrives.. lets just hope she waits until we are all ready!!

Anthem Newborn Photographer| Newborn {E} and family

This is baby Ellie and her family. I’m pretty partial to Ellie since that’s my daughter’s name too. She is so sweet and was so cooperative during our session. I work with her mother and when she asked if I would take their photos I jumped at the chance. Ellie has the cutest big sister also.. who loved the camera as much as the camera loved her. Her pigtails were so cute! Here are a few sneak peeks from our evening:

This next one is my favorite.. so sweet and innocent :)

Too cute!! Thanks Shylah and Brian!
