Hello St. Louis!

I am out visiting my dear friend Holly McCaig to second shoot for a wedding and I love it out here! It’s funny, being from Arizona, you don’t realize how brown it is until you go somewhere where it’s completely green!! There are trees and grass everywhere. Every house has a ton of land and their yards are huge. It completely reminds me of when I lived in Kansas City growing up. Anyway, we are having a great time and Holly is showing me all of the sites. Today we headed to downtown St. Louis.. saw the arch and then went on a beer tour at the Budweiser plant. It was pretty cool.. I did learn that AB is responsible for approximately 50% of the beer that people drink in the US.. that’s 1 out of every 2 beers.. nuts really!! Anyway, here are a few photos from my day here…

Tomorrow is the wedding and I think it’s going to be amazing. Today we shot some photos at the rehearsal and the church is beautiful.

Phoenix High School Senior Photographer| {S} graduated!!!

This is Sheila and she just recently graduated from Notre Dame Prep! She is beautiful and made my job effortless! We had a great time out at DC ranch and got some amazing shots! So much in fact, that I had the hardest time just choosing a couple to post on my blog. I seem to have that problem alot lately! Anyway, after you see them you will know why!

and of course we had to get a few fun shots too…..

See… I told you :)
Speaking of Seniors! If you know of any, send them my way! I’m looking for 2011 Senior reps!!

Phoenix Family Photographer|The {L} Family

I love repeat clients.. I love to see how much their children have grown and it makes me realize just how fast time does fly. A lot can happen in a year! This is the {L} Family, and I first met them in 2008. I was more than honored when they set up another session with me. We went to Heritage Square and what a cool place! I loved the textures, the colors.. everything! The best part, is that they thought of the place. Of course we went on the windiest day in Phoenix, but really.. we were protected by the buildings, so it all turned out perfect! Here are a few from the day and I have to tell you all that I had a hard time choosing which photos to share. So here they are.. oh and look at those amazing eyes little Nora has… so sweet!

Phoenix High School Senior Photographer| Hayden & his family

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Hayden and his family. Now keep in mind, when it comes to photographs, most boys/men can think of about 20 other things they would like to do besides sitting to get their picture taken. That’s how it started and by the end of the session, I can honestly say we all had a great time! Heck we even were scolded by the park rangers for having his bike with us (no we didn’t even turn it on!) Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Thanks for a great afternoon!!

On a different note, I feel like I’m in survival mode. The last weeks of school are always the busiest for me. Today is the last day of school and I am so excited! I love summer and can’t wait to get it started!!

Phoenix Wedding Photographer| Mary Jo and Scott are Married

I am so excited to show off these fun wedding photos of Mary Jo and her husband Scott! Mary Jo and I have worked together.. in fact, she’s my daughter’s speech therapist. Over the past 2 years we have become good friends and I was more than honored when she asked me to take photos of her wedding. The wedding was in their backyard and it was beautiful! Seriously, it was perfect! The weather, the location, the guests, the food.. everything was perfect! We snucked out and grabbed a few pictures before the ceremony and it’s amazing what cool spots you can find in your own neighborhood. Here are a few of my favorites from the day…
Thanks you two for a fantastic evening.. and thanks also to Chad Banning who helped me out.

Phoenix Wedding Photographer| Erika & Damon are Engaged!!

On Sunday I headed out to Papago Park with Erika and Damon to shoot their engagement photos! We have been friends for a while now and I was honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer! We had such a great time and Papago park was awesome!! It’s amazing how you can live in Phoenix and forget about all of the cool spots that are around us! The cool red rocks made for a great backdrop.. not too mention the cool grassy areas too! We had a great time and I’m excited to show everyone some of my favorites! They were troopers, and even let me play around a bit to get some great silhouette photos too!! Oh and if you ever want to take photos at Papago park.. don’t wear flip flops :)
Here is my new favorite photo:

Thanks Erika and Damon for a great afternoon and dinner! I can’t wait until the wedding in November!

My baby is 6th months old!

It is so hard to believe that Reagan is already 6 months old. I know I have said it before, but I really have NO idea where the time has gone. I want to just make time stop for a little bit and hang on to my girls at this young age. Before I know it they will both be teenagers and want nothing to do with me :) Yesterday I decided I should probably grab a few photos of Reagan for her 6 month mark. Nothing fancy.. just her on my bed. I think they turned out fantastic.. it’s funny how sometimes the best photos are the ones where no planning has been done. Here a 3 of my favorites.. she looks so serious in them, when really she is one of the happiest babies I have seen.

Her red hair is really starting to show too.. who would have thought that I would have a red head?! She does seem to have the temper of one too!!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer| Geoff & Pam are Married!

Geoff and Pam got married 1 year and 1 day after they met… and what a beautiful wedding it was. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet this couple and share their day with them. It rained hard that day, so the ceremony was under the balcony, but still it was perfect!

Kerrie Kruse was their wedding planner and she did an amazing job with the details. The wedding was at Sassi in Scottsdale, and the venue was gorgeous! The flowers were amazing and were done by Le Fleur Boutique.

Here are a few photos of their day:

Thanks again Geoff and Pam for including me in your special day!

Phoenix Wedding Photographer| Julie & Rob are Engaged!!!

I had the BEST time shooting Jule and Rob in downtown Phoenix this past weekend! They are so fun and are sooooo in love! I swear after our session I wanted to get home and give Jeff a huge smooch :) We headed out to downtown Phoenix and the weather was perfect!! I found these locationss during a recent workshop I attended and I knew the location would be perfect for engagement photos and I was right! I just love these photos and I’m so excited to share them with you all. I have to admit I had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few for my sneak peek.. I seriously wanted to load about 50 pictures on here. So here are a few of my many favorites from our afternoon…..

Thanks again Julie and Rob for an awesome afternoon! I can’t wait until the wedding now!!!

Glendale Family Photographer| The {W} Family

I love taking photos in Glendale! First it’s so close to my home, and second there are some great spots! Saguaro Ranch Park (the website doesn’t do it justice) is probably the most popular place to shoot at in Glendale. I love the textures, the backgrounds and just the overall feel of the place. It’s great for families, high school seniors and even babies! And to prove it.. here are some great baby & family shots that I recently took of the {W} family. You may recognize them from past sessions. (**warning! I am not responsible for the baby fever you may feel after seeing these photos!**)

Aubri is getting so big and she is just the cutest little thing! She makes Reagan look like a giant!
On the home front, we are all feeling much better. Not only was I sick, but both Reagan and Ellie had it too. I’m not sure how Jeff missed out on the fun, but he did. It’s a bummer being sick, but at least we got over it quick and just in time for Spring Break! Spring Break was good.. very relaxing and I got a TON of stuff done around the house. My poor house was in serious need of some attention and it finally got it from me. I sorted through the girls clothes, and deep cleaned the entire house. It’s funny how you feel all out of order when your house is a mess. But all is good now!
